Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Procurement Manager with German C1 proficiency who is based in Slovakia but will work as part of a Swiss Industrial Company based close to Zürich.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating procurement activities across the CEE region, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure a seamless supply chain process. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be detail-oriented, and have a proven track record in procurement coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate all procurement activities in the CEE region, including sourcing, negotiating prices, and selecting suppliers
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and understand their procurement needs
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and minimize waste
- Manage logistics and transportation of goods, including coordinating shipments and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders as needed

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement coordination or logistics management
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with German proficiency
- Proficient in English and at least one CEE regional language (preferably two) (Slovak / Czech, Hungarian, Polish)
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations
- Familiarity with logistics and transportation management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a mid-sized company is preferred
- Able to work remotely
