Job description, responsibilities and duties
Purpose of the job:
The Credit Officer analyses and processes credit applications for financing request including AML and ensures all related processes are performed in the requested quality and timing while keeping all relevant directives and policies. Being member of both Local team and Sub-regional team complying with the necessary requirements relating to Credit area ensuring proper and full functions of those teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Analysis of information provided for evaluating credit transactions and verifies credit
data consistency - Use all relevant external and internal information sources to assure complete
information necessary for creditworthiness evaluation and credit decision - Analysis of data in the systems used in VFS
- Proposing such deal conditions to ensure balance between risk and return for the given
deal while considering whole complexity of deal including among others the deal
structure, asset and collateral value and client’s business model and client’s creditworthiness - Makes recommendations and takes decisions within credit policy and procedures
- Processing of the credit applications in the systems and applications used by VFS
- Ensuring accurate and complete documentation of credit file
- Managing credit application ensuring accurate and timely processing of applications
- Follow Policies, Directives, Guides, Guidelines, Instructions of Volvo-group including
VFS in general and the Authorization directive in particular - Follow local legislation to co-ensure with the Local and Sub-regional team current
legislations are kept - AML responsibility to the extent stipulated in the relevant CEA AML Policy
- Asset intelligence knowledge development, as asset knowledge is important for Credit
decision - Communication and cooperation with clients reflecting the setup in the given market
- Communication and cooperation with other teams in VFS
- Challenging and proposing new more efficient ways for existing workflows
- Assists in the development and implementation of procedures to minimize risk and
improve underwriting quality - Change-agent for necessary changes identified while processing credit deals
- Focus on data quality and data consistency in Credit Risk application processing and
data keeping - Performing other tasks, duties, projects and similar relating directly or indirectly to the
area of Credit Risk and AML management
