Job description, responsibilities and duties

Responsible for improving data quality via setting up correct processes and checks across application landscape.

Be important part during process migration projects and IT system migration projects.


1. Data Quality Engineer role
• Perform data quality assessment regularly using solutions in place (SAS, DWH based on Oracle, Excel,…) to investigate issues in data quality.
• Set up additional tools and processes for assurance of data quality.
• Collaborating with business owners and software vendors to improve data collection and storage processes.
• Running data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions, as well as cleaning data.
• Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends.
• Reporting data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs.
• Documenting processes and maintaining data records.
• Correct all data quality errors, either with system tools or by creating requests for external vendors
• Prepare reports and track trends.

2. Participation on key projects
• link current processes towards future centralized processes (project 1) and future IT systems (project 2)
• support migration of identified processes to shared-center management (outsourcing) and to new IT system
• stabilize outsourced and insourced processes
• ensure consistency and feasibility of future process chain
• consultancy with internal and external project teams

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar.
• At least 3 years of experience in data analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages, including Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Experience with Oracle DB usage and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and tests.
• Extensive experience with statistical packages, such as MS Excel, SAS, or SPSS
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Experiences to investigate any data issue and provide solution
• Experiences in test scenarios and test cases
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of best practices in data analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability for quick orientation in processes and technical environment
