Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of our largest, most complex and strategically important projects. This is a key role for someone who enjoys leading international customer deliveries, managing commercial and contractual complexity, and bringing together cross-functional teams across countries and time zones.

In this role, you will combine project leadership, commercial management, contract administration, customer relationship management and strategic risk governance to ensure successful project execution while protecting Vissim’s commercial interests.

Possibility to work from our office in Kosice.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

What you will do

  • Lead large-scale strategic projects from contract award through warranty closure.

  • Establish project governance structures suitable for complex customer environments.

  • Own overall project delivery, schedule, budget, quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate engineering, operations, procurement, service, logistics, finance and subcontractor organizations.

  • Lead project recovery initiatives when significant delivery challenges arise.

  • Prepare executive reporting and steering committee materials.

Your commercial and contractual focus

  • Own commercial performance and profitability of assigned projects.

  • Interpret, administer and manage complex customer contracts.

  • Lead negotiations related to variation orders, claims, scope changes, extensions of time and commercial settlements.

  • Identify contractual risks and opportunities and implement mitigation plans.

  • Protect company margins through disciplined scope and change management.

  • Support sales and tender teams during contract review and project handover

International stakeholder management

  • Build trusted relationships with executive customer representatives.

  • Operate effectively within multicultural and international business environments.

  • Represent Vissim in steering committees, executive reviews and governance forums.

  • Align diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities and objectives.

  • Manage customer expectations through transparent communication.

Financial ownership

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and profitability.

  • Monitor revenue recognition inputs and cost performance.

  • Drive corrective actions to improve project financial results.

Leadership and mentoring

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education: 

  • University degree in Engineering, Telecommunication, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Commercial or Contract Management certification is considered an advantage.

Experience: 

  • At least 10 years of project management experience delivering complex projects

  • Experience managing international customers and multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Proven track record delivering high-value projects in telecommunications, offshore wind, maritime, energy or critical infrastructure sectors.

  • Strong experience with commercial negotiations, contract administration, and claims management.
