Job description, responsibilities and duties
As a DevOps Engineer at Visma Labs you will be a member of the cross-country Cloud Operations team responsible for the automation, provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting of the infrastructure of our mission critical SaaS platform. You are eager to learn and enjoy writing code to make our platform rock-solid.
We are looking for a team player who takes initiative and has a getting-things-done attitude, who is not afraid of complexity and enjoys a good challenge. You must be able to handle a fast-paced work environment, juggling several different tasks at the same time while setting the right priorities. Some international travel is no issue for you.
Skills we look for include (ideally you possess these - or you have a demonstrated ability to acquire them fast, and excel in using/applying them):
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Production Infrastructures based on Windows platform
- 2+ years of experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Ruby
- 3+ Experience with networking, firewalls, load balancers and hypervisor technologies
- 3+ Experience with server hardware and sizing
- Experience with ITIL and Scrum/Kanban
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible is a plus
- Experience with Azure or AWS is a plus
- Experience with Linux is a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a structured way
- Getting things done attitude
