Job description, responsibilities and duties
As Thermal Engineer for you will support the development and the production of our HVAC products and their components.
What will you be expected to do to reach success & optimal performance?
- analyze modeling and predicting the heat transfer performance of Vertiv HVAC products and their components e.g. compressors, air cooling condensers, etc;
- perform heat transfer, fluid dynamic and thermodynamic analyses;
- validation of HVAC components and system models with data laboratory tests;
- establish methodologies and equipment for thermal performance characterization of our custom cooling components and systems;
- conduct testing under a variety of use conditions to determine whether they meet customer specifications;
- heat transfer analysis of commercial HVAC products and components;
- capability to fully exploit our internal software and / or commercial performance tools;
- project documentation and presentation of the progress of senior management projects;
- work with engineering teams to design and test custom cooling systems and heat transfer components, such as liquid cold plates, air-refrigerant evaporators, air-liquid heat exchangers and condensers.
