Job description, responsibilities and duties

Duties: This position is located in the Financial Management Office and reports to the Financial Supervisor. Examines invoices for all serviced and non-serviced agencies at Post and backs up the Class B Cashier. Duties include examination of invoices and other required supporting documentation and preparation of Payment Vouchers for certification by Certifying Officer. Ensures that prepared and certified Vouchers for payment are correctly entered into financial system, requesting EFT payments in local, U.S. and third currency. Serves as the Mission’s Backup Cashier. Assists the entire Financial Section as needed with various accounting records, budget preparations, and data collection.

Requirements for the employee

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

Qualifications and Requirements:

EDUCATION: Secondary school.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of progressive work experience in providing customer service, as well as experience in accounting or bookkeeping or cash handling.

LANGUAGE: Language Proficiency:
Level III (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing Slovak is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent administrative and analytical skills. Skills in monitoring and tracking invoices/vouchers. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Good attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to articulate complex issues. Ability to effectively utilize computer and financial software.

Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
