Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for an experienced Head of Operations to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of the business.
The Head of Operations role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethics, we’d like to meet you.
The goal of the role position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement business strategies, process, and procedures and be responsible for continuous process enhancement
- Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO
- It is a one-man show - you are expected to get your hands dirty and set up everything from scratch be it a selection of the right CRM, calculating department effectiveness, or managing health and safety in the office
- Directly oversee operations, HR, recruitment, accounting, and partner with the CEO on sales management to budget for sufficient investment capital to achieve growth targets over the near term
- Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
- Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
- Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.)
- Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
- Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance
- Assist CEO in fundraising ventures (desirable)
- Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Ensure smooth running of Vectary as a business

- Proven experience as a Head of operations or relevant role, minimum of 3 years
- Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
- A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Software Development, Design
- Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure as well as tools like Notion, Monday.com
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Experience from a SaaS or Software Development company is a must
- Experience from a start-up is a must
- Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
