Java Senior Developer

Overview and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will think logically, demonstrate troubleshooting skills, communicate well, and work well in a team, overseeing more junior developers already on staff. Proficiency in Java is required, and other object-oriented languages like Python and Node, and knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL databases essential.

Responsibilities

● Develop and enhance software for web-based and mobile-optimized applications, server and embedded projects.

● Develop integrations to multiple SaaS systems that we currently use.

● Manage personal deadlines while supporting team sprint planning and deliveries.

● Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to design efficient, elegant solutions.

● Proactively help identify project risks and help mitigate problems.

● Communicate effectively with the team and customers.


Day to Day:

● Collaborate with the CTO and account managers to understand the desired workflows we need to automate and understand how they are executed with a combination of human interaction and technology.

● Consult and advise senior leaders on best practices and methodologies, developing strategies and roadmaps by proposing project benefits/ROI.

● Create organizational credibility with respect to all project management deliverables and process efficiencies by instilling the culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability for outcomes.

● Oversee and govern Project Management tooling, using either JIRA or other project management development tools

● Apply risk management assessment in project planning / ongoing execution and resolve issues and conflicts associated with management of multiple complex high-priority projects
