System Test Engineer - Tests and Analyzes for the Smart Cars

The Technical Center performs car modifications, data collections and deterministic testing for all sensors and functions within Valeo. We focus on active safety such as NCAP testing. Our equipment for this includes platform robots that move targets (pedestrians, cars, bicycles), driving robots (used to achieve the exact path of the vehicle under test) and differential GPS to meet the required accuracy. We are doing the post processing and analyses of this ground truth data gathered from the tests to validate accuracy, compute other signals and evaluate the tests (impact point, crash speed, stopping distance, etc).

Now, we are looking for a skilled SYSTEM TEST ENGINEER, who will participate in creation of test guidelines and data analyses from the testing process. A part of the job is also connected directly to our test track in Milovice.

YOUR CHALLENGES?

* Specification, planning, execution and analysis of system tests
* Creation of test strategy and application instructions
* Initial system start up including integration tests
* Development of system analysis and system testing tools
* Collaboration on specification of system requirements and their analysis (marketing, customer, both internal and customer projects)
* Presentation of the system tests for internal and external customers
* Assistance with development of test systems for vehicle testing
* Collaboration on derivation of requirements for mechanics, hardware and software in close cooperation with other departments

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU...

* Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent
* Fluent English language
* Experience with requirements tools and design tools
* Understanding of software development process
* Programming in C, Python
* Automotive tools (CANOE, Canalyzer, Labview, ...) would be an advantage
* System testing and automotive is an advantage
* Driving license B
* High degree of innovation and creativity
