The role:

The Quality Training Leader is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective. Training Programs and Processes to assure that personnel within assigned sites are equipped with the knowledge, understanding and training to successfully execute their responsibilities. The Quality Training Leader will be required to ensure that the organization has appropriate knowledge and skills to perform effectively in order to deliver the organizations objectives, vision and strategy and provide a customer experience designed to set the highest standards in the industry. This role is key to the development and management of Training systems at Convatec and ensuring that all staff are within training compliance including all related paperwork.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective Training Programs and Processes to assure that personnel within assigned sites are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, and training to successfully execute their responsibilities to the highest of standards
  • Align and partner to centralize training requirements and process with Master Trainers in production (MLV)
  • Ensures that all aspects of the Training Programs are compliant to all applicable regulations and standards as well as Global policies and processes and CVT Corporate requirements
  • Responsible to support the MLV training program ensuring alignment with compliance requirements, business strategy and global process adherence
  • Advises Senior Leadership of program status and trends in the program effectiveness using metrics and data. Recommends responses and process solutions based on analysis, surveys, and frequent monitoring Identifies training needs based on projected operational processes, changes, and other factors
  • Develop and report to leadership on relevant metrics and KPI’s to monitor the compliance and effectiveness of the training system for assigned site
  • Assist subject matter experts to deploy and deliver effective training requests
  • Gain expertise within the Learning Management System to promote streamlined and consistent use of the system, while offering and implementing solutions to continuously improve the process and training program
  • Establishes requirements for and provides direction to site leadership teams on all aspects of curriculum, content development and delivery strategies for GxP training
  • Assure strategic and operational alignment in the use of the Learning Management system to maximize automation and productivity. Drive strategic solutions to automate and transition the workforce to utilize digital capabilities
  • Develop strong working relationships with peers in the training organization across site to drive consistency, harmonization, process standardization and leveraging of solutions through all evolutionary stages of the Training Program
  • Support and coordinate new hire orientation, induction sessions, refresher GMP training, instructor qualification, role-based curricula for all employees, contractors, and consultants on site
  • Act as a training subject matter expert as needed and provide proactive and reactive support in response to problems
  • Participate and contribute with the delivery of change and communication plans in support of the Quality training program at Convatec
  • Provide manager support during internal and external audits
  • Complies with Quality procedures, Laws and Regulations, Company Regulations as well as with all environmental, health and safety procedures and policies
  • To ensure compliance with the legislative and internal requirements of the EHS and to participate in the fulfillment of the company's targets in the EHS area

Skills & Experience:

A proactive approach to training due to the fast-paced nature of the business

Previous experience in a similar role, ideally coming from a manufacturing environment

Personality and passion for training and process excellence is vital and driven attitude to ensure that the training needs of the business are met

Proven experience of designing and delivering training programs

Good communication and influencing skills with the ability to get your message across to a wide spectrum of people including senior leaders

Willingness to learn and teach others best practice

Demonstrates initiative, detail oriented and a desire to operate with high quality effort

Flexible to support shifts, ability to work under pressure, deliver results and meet deadlines

Approachable and professional

Qualifications/Education:

University degree in Business, Learning & Development, or other related field

At least 5 years’ experience in a professional office environment. Strong preference for experience within a global Medical Device organization or life science

Demonstrated experience: project/program management analyzing business needs, system data

Entry, administrative support and completing daily que of workload/intake, identifying gaps and root causes, driving process excellence, and recommending solutions to achieve desired performance outcomes

Knowledge of manufacturing and packaging processes

Exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices

Experience with Training and Quality systems

Preferred training requirements:

Introduction training for administrative employees

Quality System documents and procedures relevant to all employees (local and Convatec corporate e.g. Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Quality Policy, Complaints, relevant GxP documents), including regular re-training when required

Travel Requirements

Yes – Position may involve travel up to 25% of the time, mostly within Europe but overseas travel is expected. Most trips will include overnight travel.
