Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are currently searching for an experienced BI Platform Administrator to join a new BI team who will be responsible for improving the performance and reliability of the BI system by conducting regular system optimizations, updates, and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the BI platform's operation, ensuring its reliability, performance, and accessibility to users across the organization.
  • Manage platform upgrades, patches, and customizations, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions that enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure strict adherence to data governance, security policies, and compliance standards.
  • Support data integration efforts from diverse sources (including ERP systems, CRM, IoT devices, and external data) to provide a unified data ecosystem.
  • Facilitate the development and deployment of self-service BI tools, dashboards, and reports to empower end-users with timely insights.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve any platform-related issues.

About you

  • The Platform Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and support of our BI and Analytics platform. This role requires a deep understanding of BI technologies, data integration, and analytics, coupled with expertise in managing complex IT solutions within a manufacturing enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience as a Platform Administrator, BI Administrator, or similar role, preferably within the medical device or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong technical background in BI platforms, data warehousing, and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with data integration technologies and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
