Senior PL/SQL Developer

In this role, you can help shaping the company‘s software development competences in Bratislava become part of a new success story. The job offers a wider range of challenging tasks in a dynamic and international working environment.

Focus will be on projects which are implementing the Avaloq Banking Suite (www.avaloq.com), and customization of the software for each client (known as ‘parameterization’). In your role, you will be working with a development language called Avaloq Script Language, a proprietary programming language used by Avaloq. The language is based on PL/SQL (same syntax) and has been enhanced by Avaloq to model business objects using object-oriented programming concepts. Additionally, you will be working with PL/SQL scripts and SQL queries to access tables use function packages on the database directly. For this job, it is required to be familiar with database concepts and object-oriented languages. Knowledge of web technologies is an advantage as the new Avaloq Front-End has been built for omni-channel experience and using browser based interfaces.

As the team grows, we will also consider additional technologies and products, and if we identify potential, also develop own solutions for our clients.

Your Responsibilities:
- Software development, business analysis, solution design, and testing with Avaloq
- Implementation of new and maintenance of existing functionality
- Close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure fit-for-purpose end-to-end functionality
- Travel might be required for education purposes or specific project activities
- Independent delivery of complex solutions
- Coaching of junior team members and active contribution to build-up of new team
- Coordination of project workstreams
