Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Maintenance of patching, deployment of new servers, troubleshooting, incident solving.
• Closely cooperating with other departments regarding networking, storage and application/platform support. - Participating on design, build and new projects.
• Continuous improvement of current environments (internal and external customers), automation of common tasks.
• Creation of documentation and use cases for 1st/2nd level support

Personality requirements and skills
Good knowledge of AIX (User management, LVM management, using NIM, Troubleshooting) based environment.
• Good knowledge of HW management over HMC (start/stop VM, creating VMs in VIO environment)
• Basic knowledge of VIO Server (list virtual resources, mapping/re-maping virtual HW resources amoung VMs, creating new virtual HW)
• Basic knowledge of PowerHA (list RGs, list PowerHA status, moving RGs)
• Basic knowledge of KSH/Perl
• Experience with RHEL/CentOS and SLES or Solaris is good to have.
• Language: English is a must. German is a plus
• ITIL Foundation skills
