Join us in Bratislava for an exciting actuarial internship that will provide you with hands-on experience in a dynamic insurance environment.

Your future team
We offer an innovative opportunity to become an intern in our UNIQuants which is a team that is responsible for a wide range of actuarial tasks in the insurance business across the UNIQA Group. The UNIQuants setup provides its members the unique chance to learn and get insights into both worlds of the actuarial field - Life and Non-life. You will be part of a flexible team, which opens opportunities to take on dynamic, new business roles. You will work with leading data modelling software and drive innovation and efficiency in all our processes. Besides, you can look forward to continuous knowledge exchange with experts from international business units across the whole UNIQA Group.

Internship Highlights
As an actuarial intern with UNIQA 4WARD in Bratislava, you will:
-Collaborate with experienced actuaries on real-world projects.
-Gain valuable exposure to cutting-edge actuarial methodologies and tools.
-Analyze data, perform risk assessments, and assist in developing actuarial models.
-Support in simplification and reporting automation processes
-Supporting actuarial reserving process in local GAAP, IFRS17, Solvency II for the UNIQA insurance subsidiaries
-Work within a diverse and inclusive team that encourages learning and growth.
-Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced team members.
-Immerse yourself in a supportive work culture that values innovation and teamwork.

In your first three months:
-you'll get to know our team of actuarial experts in different countries
-you'll become familiar with some actuarial tools and techniques that we use to calculate actuarial reserves
-you’ll enter relevant data into our templates and assist in producing statistical reports and analysis
-you’ll maintain frequent interaction with project supervisors and participate in meetings to discuss technical details of projects

As a member of our team, you will work directly with actuaries and support them with gathering, analyzing data, and creating models and scenarios in order to deliver the best solutions available on the market.

Your required skills and qualifications:

To excel in this internship, you should:
-Be pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or another quantitative field
-Possess strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
-Fluent English level
-Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint; VBA as additional advantage
-Experience with statistical software (R, Python, etc.) is an advantage.
-Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues.
-Proactive and goal oriented
-Show a genuine interest in the insurance and actuarial industry.
