Job description, responsibilities and duties


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with Slovak accounting standards and regulations
  • Monitor and analyze P&L and Balance sheet transactions and ensure their correctness; deal with eventual discrepancies; review and confirm the overall correctness of P&L and BS statements of particular legal entity
  • Setting up and improving accounting processes and controls
  • Preparation and control of tax returns, financial statements and audit documents
  • Accounts payable and receivable management, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits

Personality requirements and skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus but not required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the [industry] sector
  • Strong understanding of Slovak accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Experience with VAT returns preparations, overview of company & personal income tax laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in Slovak and English
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CMA, etc.) is a plus but not required
