Opto-mechanical engineer

Ultrafast Systems has a job opening at its new Bratislava branch. We are looking for an Opto-mechanical Engineer to create and improve systems and products that are used in spectroscopy—lasers, optics, fiber optics, and imaging. The Opto-mechanical Engineer will work with scientists and other engineers to build and improve complete optical spectrometry systems.

Responsibilities:
• Construction, alignment and performance verification of laser spectrometers and accessories.
• Model various optomechanical components and systems in SolidWorks.
• Create components and systems prototypes to determine whether they are suitable for a specific task.

Skills/Qualifications:
• BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent experience
• CAD (2D and 3D)
• Strong SolidWorks skills required
• CNC automation experience preferred
• 3D printing experience is preferred
• Good spoken and written English required
