Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a colleague to join our ESG / Sustainability team who is systematically works on the development of our company's sustainability strategy and covers this agenda across the entire range of our company's activities.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitoring, evaluation and implementation of requirements resulting from CSRD, ESRS and CSDDD standards and related legislation.
- Collaborating with business units and the corporate U. S. Steel Sustainability team and coordinating the activities of the existing ESG/Sustainability team at U. S. Steel Košice, which covers all areas of the company.
- Preparation of the non-financial section of the U. S. Steel Košice Annual Report.
- Building and implementing a corporate strategy, including KPIs for the ESG area.
- Reporting based on ESRS standards and preparation of Sustainability Report.
- Communicating and addressing requests from external stakeholders.
- Coordination of Responsible Steel certification and other ESG projects.
- Raising sustainability awareness and promoting a culture of sustainability within the organization.

- Knowledge of the company's ESG strategy and experience with its creation and implementation.
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation, standards and frameworks in the ESG field (CSRD/ESRS, CSDDD, GRI, CDP, UN SDGs, GHG Protocol, etc.)
- Analytical and data handling skills.

- Used to work with tight deadlines.
Other Skills
- Additional business-related work or related experience in operations service would be beneficial.
- Procurement/Sales experience preferred.
