We are looking for a technically strong Branch Manager to lead the TÜV Rheinland office in Bratislava. This role is ideal for a fluent Slovak-speaking engineer with proven leadership experience, a solid background in mechanical engineering, welding, and certification, and a clear business development mindset.

You will manage and further develop a team of 5 experienced auditors (mechanical engineers) working in the fields of welding, plant certification, and conformity assessment, while actively driving business expansion in Slovakia.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical authority, people management, and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Growth:

  • Drive the expansion of certification and inspection services in Slovakia,
  • Actively develop new business areas, with a focus on:

- Lifts and elevator certification,

- PED – Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU),

- Energy-related services (advantage),

  • Identify market opportunities and build long-term client relationships,
  • Support tendering activities, proposal preparation, and strategic customer discussions.

2. Technical & Operational Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a 5-member team of mechanical engineer auditors,
  • Ensure technical quality, compliance, and professional execution of:

- welding-related activities,

- system certification,

- conformity assessment processes,

  • Cooperate closely with internal experts, subcontractors, and international TÜV Rheinland entities.

3. People & Office Management:

  • Provide clear leadership, direction, and performance feedback,
  • Support professional development and competence growth within the team,
  • Oversee branch operations, including:

- resource planning,

- budget and profitability (P&L),

- coordination with legal and operational partners.

This is not a sales-only role and not an administrative office manager position. We are looking for a technically credible leader who can manage engineers, deeply understand certification and conformity assessment, and simultaneously drive business growth.
