Basic qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience working with large data sets and writing complex SQL queries to pull data.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst or BI Engineer role.
• Proficient, professional, in-depth working knowledge of Tableau.
• Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Preffered qualification

• Relevant experience in business intelligence or business analyst role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology.
• Data engineering credentials; working knowledge of a programming language (JAVA/PYTHON/SCALA).
• Experience with Star Schemas, Dimensional Models, Datamarts in Traditional Data Warehouses as well as in Big Data / Advanced Analytics domains.
• Advanced analytical skills and is detail-oriented, while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
• Effective verbal and written communication to senior audiences, including strong data presentation and visualization skills.
• Experience working with cloud database technologies such as Redshift, RDS or Azure DW.
• Experience managing Tableau site and troubleshooting dashboard/site performance.

For our client, global customer care oriented company, we are searching for a suitable candidate for position Business Intelligence Engineer to develop and support business intelligence, operations reporting and management systems. Position will part of Global Accounts Receivable, Data Analytics team.

The Business Intelligence Engineer will drive development of reporting and analytics use-cases for some of our largest projects and businesses; and produce reports and analyses for decision making, metrics management and more. The role will involve translation of business problems into data problems; obtain the required data by working with other engineering teams; produce reporting; and provide forward-looking recommendations. They will work closely with business analysts. The role will also act as a SPOC for the global Tableau support engineering team.
