We are looking for a Finance Analyst to undertake accounting operations in our UK finance department. Our Finance Analyst should have a keen eye for detail and be comfortable working with little supervision to meet tight deadlines as well as be part of the UK Finance team.

You will be:

Updating cash books and uploading accounting entries
Responsible owner of assigned balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with month end reporting
Accounting for UK corporate lodge card
Monthly prepayment journal and associated reclasses
Property lease accounting from schedules
Assisting with monthly cost reclasses and intercompany transfer entries
Proactively identifying processes for development and improvement within the role
Meeting internal requirements for ad-hoc reports and data analysis
Assisting with depreciation and various cost accrual entries
Cover for senior analyst in Bratislava
Supporting audits

Skills and expertise:

Proven experience in a variable accounting role
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
Ability to work with large amounts of data and perform reconciliations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
English language skills – advanced
Organizational and time-management skills
Pays attention to detail
Provides high standards of quality and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Good team player and “can do” attitude

Experience:

Experience of Financial / Commercial Analysis (Desirable)
Strong understanding of IT systems for example Peoplesoft (Ideal)
Experience in similar environment, preferably Professional Services firms (Ideal)
Exposure to accounting for payroll

Additional requirements:

Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Excel (Desirable)
Ability to build and maintain relationships of trust with senior colleagues
Structured and disciplined
Flexible to work in a frequently changing environment
Accurate, proactive, methodical and analytical approach to work
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work to tight deadlines
