As an Analytics Business Partner, you'll be at the intersection of data, strategy, and business operations—bridging the gap between analytics delivery teams and key stakeholders across Tesco. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic decisions, shape impactful solutions, and build deep expertise in areas like pricing, promotions, trade, and category management.
You'll work in a consultative, stakeholder-facing role, helping to translate complex data into actionable insights, while also ensuring that solutions are embedded effectively and deliver measurable impact. With exposure to advanced analytics, AI-driven solutions, and a wide network of business functions, this is a role where you can truly make a difference.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop deep subject matter expertise in assigned business areas and understand key operational processes and strategic goals.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing consultancy and insights that support data-driven decision-making.
• Proactively identify analytical opportunities and respond to business questions with AI-powered and advanced analytics solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in analytics, reporting, and GenAI to drive innovation.
• Lead effective communication between business and delivery teams, acting as a single point of contact and internal account manager.
• Manage analytics projects using tools like Jira, ensuring alignment with business needs and smooth execution.
• Capture feedback and measure the impact of delivered solutions to continuously improve value.
• Build credibility across all levels of the organization by demonstrating the tangible benefits of analytics and business partnering.

Personality requirements and skills

REQUIREMENTS
University degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Data Science, or a related analytical field.
• Proficiency in English at a minimum of C1 level is required, along with native-level fluency in at least one of the following languages: Hungarian, Slovak, or Czech
 • 5+ years of experience in stakeholder management, consulting, or analytics roles in retail, FMCG, or services
Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
Proven experience in analytics, reporting, and AI/GenAI applications—with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Highly data-savvy, with a strong grasp of analytical methodologies and storytelling with data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Advantageous: experience in retail functions such as Trade, Category Management, Marketing, Operations, Finance, or Digital.
