We are seeking a Translation Team Manager to oversee our multi-lingual translation team. To excel in this role, you should be at ease managing people, juggling various priorities, managing projects often within tight timeframes, liaising with diverse stakeholders and internal teams. Your approach to problem-solving and risk management is proactive and inclusive. You thrive in diverse teams and actively contribute to fostering an inclusive culture. You make well-founded business decisions swiftly, even when faced with ambiguity and pressure. Your expertise lies in translation industry, language quality, and you possess experience in translation team management.

The Translation Team Manager sets the vision, direction, and culture of its team whilst finding ways to work towards our mission of serving our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day. • Supervising a 10+ team of linguists responsible for translation of various internal documents of the mother company e.g. training materials, product descriptions, HR materials, financial documents etc.
• Measuring and managing team performance and providing regular feedback and coaching to direct reports.
• Conducting performance management conversations, providing developmental feedbacks, carrying out performance rating discussions. Also, creating succession plans and career path for team members, rewarding and recognizing their effort and results in a timely manner.
• Identifying and eliminating barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality.
• Reporting to the senior management about capacity, productivity, and improvement of the team"s efficiency.
• Solving small to medium issues and proactively managing stakeholders' needs.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and building staffing and capacity plans by monitoring actual capacity levels against company plans.
• Creating an inspiring team environment with an open, transparent, honest and reliable communication culture.

Personality requirements and skills

• University education
• Native Hungarian and proficiency level in English
• At least 3 years of work experience, including team coordination and people management experience.
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal), composure under pressure and professional attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by influence, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Understanding of principles of localization/translation industry;
• Experience working in a fast-paced international environment and working with stakeholder groups;
• Linguistics bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university;
• Outstanding track record of delivering results;
• Able to give and receive feedback effectively;
• Fluency in English required; knowledge of another language is a plus Experience of balancing priorities in a fast paced, constantly changing environment to meet tight deadlines
