• Develop communication plans to support business priorities, engage customers and promote and protect our reputation.
• Develop and deliver communication strategy and plan for the business, to effectively communicate to media, stakeholders and opinion makers.
• Work closely with the CE Communications team to adapt and localize CE external communication plans and content.
• Ensure clear, structured way of communicating to the media by providing good quality content and coherent messages on time.
• Maintain corporate owned media – corporate website and corporate social media channels.
• Act as the spokesperson of Tesco; managing the daily media monitoring and media enquires.
• Proactively develop stories to communicate through media (press releases etc).
• Co-ordinate external speaking engagements and organize media events.
• Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with key media partners.
• Support the country and regional leadership team to engage with the media where needed.
• Manage the crisis communication and report external communication issues to the business.
