I lead all the CSR and Government work in my country, ensuring the work is aligned to the CE business plan and support and input into the CE initatives.
I own and build relations with key stakeholders from government, parliament, regulatory bodies, trade associations, local authorities, NGOs and engages customers and colleagues in my country to demonstrate the benefits Tesco brings to local communities.
I develop and deliver a clear Government Affairs strategy that identifies key issues and stakeholders for the business and sets out a strategic engagement plan to promote and protect the interests of Tesco and our customers.
I scan the horizon in media and in politics to highlight potential opportunities and issues for the customers and Tesco operations.
I closely follow the legislation process to flag issues to the leadership and other business units.
I maintain and regularly update a stakeholder map of key influencers with whom Tesco should build relationships which includes a broad range of stakeholders.
I work with other parts of the business to gather evidence to support Tesco’s position and demonstrate the benefits we bring to the country, helping us to engage with policy makers on a positive basis.
I meet key stakeholders to discuss issues for Tesco as well as to respond to their questions .
I advise CE and country leaderships and other teams on engaging with political stakeholders, identifying the key people that they should meet.
I represent Tesco with trade associations and other organisations, helping us to build alliances that support our policy engagement.
I work with the EU and International Government Affairs Manager to engage with the EU institutions where relevant.
I develop and deliver Community programmes that help our customers and colleagues, where they live and work and support stores achieve their Big 6 community measure.
In delivering the Corporate Responsibility and Community plan in my country I draw on and contribute to the overall Central Europe CSR approach.
I engage other parts of the business e.g. product ,customer, people etc to deliver our Central Europe CSR plan in a meaningful and relevant way for customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
I forecast and track the budget for all Corporate Responsibility projects and track and report on progress on CSR within the country and feedback to Group, and share best practice from my country and help to lead projects across the region where needed.
I manage and support other members of the local CSR so they can support me in delivering the strategy.
