Waiter/ Waitress/ Hostess

​A respected and established client (a large food and beverage company) is looking for professional hospitality staff to join a number of their luxurious restaurants in Kuwait City. 

​

As a full-time waiter/ waitress or hostess (both male/female), you will have expertise in creating memorable dining experiences by combining superb customer service skills with in-depth knowledge of the restaurant's offerings. Dealing with a discerning clientele, your role will be pivotal in maintaining and elevating the restaurant's prestigious reputation.

What we are looking for 

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Very good English communication skills (French is a plus).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience as a waiter in a 5-star hotel or upscale dining establishment. 
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. 
• Polished appearance and professional demeanor. 
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, wine and cocktail service, and food pairing
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities (will vary slightly between waiter & hostess) 

1. Greet guests and present menus, making recommendations based on their preferences.
2. Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them into the system and ensure timely delivery of orders.
3. Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
4. Provide exceptional customer service and anticipate guests' needs to ensure a memorable dining experience.
5. Answer guest questions about menu items and provide recommendations when necessary.
6. Respond promptly and courteously to any guest requests or complaints.
7. Handle cash and credit card transactions and ensure accuracy of payments and change given.
8. Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, including tables, chairs, and table settings.
9. Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area before and after service.
10. Work closely with other members of the team to ensure efficient and effective service.
11. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures. 

• Monthly net salary of 2200 USD (Waiter/Waitress)
• Monthly net salary of 1600 USD (Hostess)
• Working days/week (8 hours per day, six days per week)
• One-year renewable contract upon mutual agreement 
• Accommodation is provided and covered by the employer (each employee has a private room)
• Transportation is provided and covered by the employer (flight tickets + holiday ticket)
• Tips are provided
• Overtime provided as per Kuwait Labor Law

• Kuwait residency will be arranged by the employer (work visa to be applied for by the candidate once the job offer is signed)
