Senior Backend Developer (NET / SQL / Azure)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled .NET engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate combines strong backend development expertise with deep knowledge of database architecture, data processing, and system performance optimization.

This role requires a professional who understands software systems holistically, from application logic through database design to scalable data pipelines, and who is comfortable contributing to architecture discussions and AI-driven initiatives.

A typical day may include:

• Designing and developing backend services and internal business processes primarily in .NET
• Designing clean, efficient, and scalable data flows and API communication
• Creating, optimizing, and refactoring SQL data structures, queries, and stored procedures
• Improving database performance (indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, query tuning)
• Identifying performance bottlenecks and improving system scalability
• Contributing to architecture decisions and technical direction
• Integrating and leveraging AI tools and services (ChatGPT, Copilot, Azure OpenAI)
• Collaborating on data and AI-driven projects across industries

Required Skills & Experience

• Advanced knowledge of .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework)
• Advanced SQL expertise (T-SQL, MS SQL, Azure SQL)
• Strong understanding of database design (indexing, normalization, execution plans)
• Experience with ETL processes and data transformation
• Ability to optimize both application logic and database performance
• Experience analyzing SQL execution plans
• 4+ years of backend development experience
• System-level thinking and architectural mindset
• Independent problem solver with strong communication skills

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
• Building and managing ETL pipelines and data processing workflows (Python / Spark)
• Experience with Azure services (App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, etc.)
• Experience with Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry
• Knowledge of LLM concepts and working with ML models
• Practical experience integrating AI tools into real-world systems
• Docker and containerized deployments
• Experience with cloud-native architectures
