Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Manage supply chain management & its team for production plant Turany and Lipany
- Manage the purchase orders in ERP System to supply the production department on time of the right materials: daily review of order confirmations and monitor overdue deliveries of each individual supplier
- Directs acquisition of materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules
- Follow up and manage the stock level of raw materials/components in order to meet the company needs and internal limits
- Consolidate major purchases to secure the best possible overall conditions by leverage
- Participate in negotiations of long-term contracts to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply
- Coordinates transportation and warehousing of incoming materials and subcontracting activities
- Set-up vendor reduction program in order to consolidate/decrease the number of vendors per logic commodity category and give pro-active feedback to Engineering / Product Management about preferred vendor options for future products.

Personality requirements and skills

- University degree (or similar) in business / business administration / logistic / production
- Experienced logistic manager in international production company – minimum three to five years
- English – advanced (both writing and speaking), German – advantage
- ERP – experience in using ERP (Movex advantage)
- MS Office – advanced
- APICS certificate advantage / willing to study
