Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Manage supply chain management & its team for production plant Turany and Lipany
  • Manage the purchase orders in ERP System to supply the production department on time of the right materials: daily review of order confirmations and monitor overdue deliveries of each individual supplier
  • Directs acquisition of materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules
  • Follow up and manage the stock level of raw materials/components in order to meet the company needs and internal limits
  • Consolidate major purchases to secure the best possible overall conditions by leverage
  • Participate in negotiations of long-term contracts to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply
  • Coordinates transportation and warehousing of incoming materials and subcontracting activities
  • Set-up vendor reduction program in order to consolidate/decrease the number of vendors per logic commodity category and give pro-active feedback to Engineering / Product Management about preferred vendor options for future products.

Personality requirements and skills

  • University degree (or similar) in business / business administration / logistic / production
  • Experienced logistic manager in international production company – minimum three to five years
  • English – advanced (both writing and speaking), German – advantage
  • ERP – experience in using ERP (Movex advantage)
  • MS Office – advanced
  • APICS certificate advantage / willing to study
