Job description, responsibilities and duties
For our client, a well-established company in the banking sector, we are seeking an IT professional to join the Identity and Access Management team. This role entails supporting the integrity and security of internal applications, as well as managing PingID, to ensure that only authorized individuals can access the company's network and environment.
Tasks:
- Collaborate within a cross-national product team, practicing agile methodologies, and maintaining close communication with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
- Develop enterprise identity management concepts and web access strategies incorporating modern protocols like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML, as well as multi-factor authentication solutions.
- Customize (configuration and programming) identity and access management solutions using products from manufacturers such as ONE IDENTITY and PING IDENTITY.
- Customize processes, workflows, GUIs, reports, etc., to meet specific requirements.
- Create, modify, and expand interfaces to integrate with other systems including HR systems, AD, O365, LDAP, SAP, databases, REST APIs, SCIM, etc.
- Assist various software suppliers with the integration of their applications into centralized IAM platforms.
- Document implemented solutions thoroughly for future reference and maintenance.
- Provide support to customers and their application managers (2nd level) as needed.
- Manage the operational aspects of IAM systems in both on-premises and cloud environments on a 24 x 7 basis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues (3rd level support) within a 24 x 7 operational framework.

Personality requirements and skills
- Completion of studies at a university of applied sciences in computer science or business informatics, or equivalent experience (e.g., HTL with professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the IT field.
- Proficiency in operating identity and access management solutions on platforms like PingIdentity, Onelogin, Okta, Keycloak, etc..
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, coupled with an independent work approach.
- Familiarity with SQL and at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, .NET, VBA, or Angular (Framework).
- Knowledge of Unix and Windows Server environments.
- Understanding of networks and protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, and REST.
- Familiarity with LDAP and directory services.
- Knowledge of modern authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- Customer-oriented mindset and effective communication skills.
- Willingness to engage in continuous and self-directed learning.
- Experience in IT security and a high level of awareness regarding IT security practices.
- Desirable familiarity with JIRA.
- Good command of English, with basic proficiency in German preferred.
