Digital Health Platform Capabilities Lead
The Future Begins Here
At Takeda, we are creating a future-ready organization that uses data and digital to meet the needs of patients, our people, and the planet. We need your help to make this happen. Join our new Innovation Capability Center (ICC) in Bratislava, Slovakia.
In this role at our state-of-the-art center, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills and create solutions that will benefit patients around the world. Become the heart of our internal innovation engine.
At Takeda we unite in diversity
Takeda is committed to creating an inclusive workplace, where individuals are recognized for the diverse backgrounds and abilities they bring to our company. We are continually improving workplace experience and accessibility for everyone, and welcome applications from all qualified candidates. Here, you will feel welcomed, respected, and valued as an important contributor to our Team.
The Opportunity
As a Digital Health Platform Capabilities Lead at Takeda, you will play a central role in shaping and enabling the organisation’s end-to-end Digital Health platform and ecosystem. Working across product, technology, and business domains, you will define, evolve, and embed reusable platform capabilities that power scalable, compliant, and patient-centric digital solutions.
You will partner closely with Product Owners, Portfolio Leads, Platform Architects, and Engineering teams to embed scalable platform capabilities into digital health solutions.
This role is ideal for leaders who enjoy operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, driving reuse and consistency in complex, regulated environments, and enabling scalable solutions that support Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), AI/ML, and global digital health product innovation with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
Own the capability model
• Define and run a capability-led model for C5 — keep the reusable capabilities (patient services, omnichannel, AI/ML, data, interoperability) consistent across the product portfolio so teams stop duplicating work.
• Build capabilities against real demand, prioritized in an agile way as needs surface — not ahead of need.
Keep Product and Platform in sync
• Work with Product Owners and Portfolio Leads to turn the platform vision into capabilities teams can actually consume.
• Be the central connector across Product, Platform Architecture, Engineering, Data, Clinical, and Regulatory — make sure capabilities get adopted, not just shipped.
Own onboarding and documentation
• Own the platform's documentation in Confluence: onboarding, delivery timeline, the catalogue of existing shared services, and how-to guides — so teams can find and use what already exists.
• Define the engagement model, playbooks, and guidance that get teams onto the platform quickly and consistently.
Stay aligned to architecture and compliance
• Partner with the Platform Architect so capabilities follow the target-state design and architectural standards — you drive adoption, the Architect owns the technical decisions.
• Partner with the Regulatory & QA Lead so every capability is built and adopted in line with SaMD, GxP, privacy, and quality requirements. Compliance is designed in, not bolted on. (C5 runs as EU MDR Class IIa, under IEC 62304 and ISO 13485.)
Connect the systems
• Make sure capabilities support clean data exchange across enterprise systems, devices, and external platforms — better patient and business outcomes, fewer integration headaches.
Shape the roadmap and prove it's working
• Help shape and prioritize the capability roadmap with architecture and senior stakeholders — balance what teams need now against long-term scale.
• Set up the governance, metrics, and feedback loops that show whether capabilities are actually being adopted and delivering value, then use them to keep improving.
