The Opportunity
The Senior Data Visualization Expert will be pivotal in operationalizing the data and analytics initiatives for Takeda Ethics & Compliance (E&C) and Group Internal Audit (GIA) functions. This role will require both creative and collaborative work with IT and wider business. It will involve evangelizing effective data visualization practices and promoting a better understanding of data visualization and analytics. Lead Takeda’s E&C and GIA Data strategy through data visualization, dashboards, and BI reporting fostering business users with real-time decision-making capabilities. The Senior Data Visualization Expert will be responsible for transforming business requirements to design and build end-to-end analytical solutions. They will leverage best practices for UI/UX, data visualizations and create relevant, innovative, and impactful dashboards supporting the analytical needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.
Responsibilities
• Lead the designing of aesthetically appealing and informative visualizations from the business requirements and user stories for internal or external stakeholders enabling actionable insights.
• Collaborate with development teams and data scientists to lead the build of front-end UX solutions, operationalizing the advanced statistics and analytics models for various business processes.
• Conceptualize, design, and develop interactive data visualizations that make complex data more accessible and understandable for advocates.
• Rapidly define, design, construct, test, and maintain interactive visualizations or reports as well as resolve data-related issues and conflicts.
• Develop rich interactive visualizations that are intuitive, easy to use, and understand.
• Expertise in writing complex DAX (Data Analytics Expressions) functions in Power BI.
• Drive a high adoption rate of the data visualization tools by focusing on the usability of solutions, user experience, data integrity, user training, and go-live support.
• Develop standards and best practices for data visualization. Prepare, blend, and cleanse data from multiple sources to design extracts for optimal use with Power BI or Qlik. Enhance report performance by optimizing DAX.
• Enforce policies and processes needed to secure, improve, and maintain the quality of Reporting and Visualization.
• Be a key driver to communities of interest in visualization and analytics. Train, coach, and support Business by providing insight and expertise to the communities of interest in visualization and analytics Intelligence users.
• Ensure proper documentation of technical requirements and data definitions.

English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Personality requirements and skills
• Bachelors’ Degree, from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience with Semantic Layer Definition, Data Modelling, Data Visualization.
• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
• Strong data visualization capabilities, including experience in Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau with an aptitude to learn new tools.
• Solid hands-on experience with Databricks and Python
• Experience working in a cross-functional team and collaborating with business stakeholders in support of departmental and/or multi-departmental analytics initiatives.
• Solid knowledge of different chart types and how to leverage them to answer specific questions.
• Strong ability to format (UI/UX) your visualizations and dashboards for maximum impact.
