General description & accountabilities

The Head of Finance (Accounting) has to build and run an efficient accounting organisation that can ensure completeness and correctness of the company accounts at all times. As a senior member of the management team he/ she is responsible to provide a professional service and work closely with the business partners, suppliers and customers. He/ she is managing and coordinating the performance of the Finance team. In addition he/ she will have budget responsibility for the Finance (Accounting) Cost Centre.

Wage (gross)

2 300 EUR/monthMinimum base salary 2300 € + variable part + other financial benefits. The final basic wage component can be adjusted accordingly to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.

•Accounting policy & compliance (IAS(IFRS)/ SK GAAP, SOX404)
•Treasury (Cash management, Financing, Hedging etc.)
•Taxes esp. R&D tax relief programs
•Pension Accounting
•Credit Management
•Group Reporting (Group Accounting/ Finance)
•Payroll & General Ledger
•Fixed Asset Accounting (including respective policies)
•Inter-Company reconciliation
•Working Capital Accounting (Accounts Receivables (A/R) & Accounts Payables (A/P)), including relevant interfaces to Order Management, Procurement and Controlling
•Staff reimbursements etc.
•Continuous improvement, monitoring and reporting on the performance of accounting processes and systems using suitable KPIs
•Increase the degree of standardization and automation around the working capital management
•Development, implementation and communication and monitoring of Finance policies and guidelines Technology oriented

•The role requires a high level of professional competence in above areas acquired through professional training and backed by sufficient length of practical experience.
•The role also requires excellent communications skills, given that the Head of Finance (Accounting) as part of his role will support shaping business propositions to customers in the area of accounting, trea-sury, taxation and pension issues. In this context, she/he will regularly communicate with management level within the company and the group

•Excellent theoretical (conceptual) and practical knowledge of above areas of responsibility, with comprehensive management experience in those areas
•Ability to manage teams working under tight pressure & deadlines
•Experience in driving the efficiency of accounting processes and systems esp. related to SAP FI
•Experience with pension accounting, Slovakian state aid and R&D tax relief programs would be an advantage

•The Head of Finance (Accounting) must also be strong in organizational skills, with a keen understanding of setting up, maintaining and implementing change in processes. She/he will also be the first “change agent” for the accounting function in the company, responsible for driving innovation in her/his area

•Ability to work in team and willingness to work in an international environment / cultural sensitivity
•Customer orientation
•Professional qualification in Accounting or Business Management (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with in-depth post-graduate experience in the area
•Excellent SAP R/3 know-how
•Organized (methodical) approach, with attention to detail

•Strong communications skills, with the ability to advise top management on complex finance issues
•Excellent team player and communicator
