General description
Lead Delivery Solution Manager is responsible for technical leading in big projects (Deal Category Type A, B). The focus is on international projects, often with the main emphasis on WAN-Services. Lead DSM has the End-2-End responsibility for the Solution Design in close cooperation with Sales and the relevant fields of Delivery. Advise the customer concerning optimization potential based on T-Systems standard portfolio and perform the customer presentation up to the management level. Ensure the profitability of the complete solution already during the Design phase.

Accountabilities
General requirements:
• Solution Design lead (Project Management for Delivery) during bid and proposal phase
• Project lead and responsibility to build high complex concepts and solutions
• Recognize and analyze the customer demands as well as its technical and commercial assessments
• Develop solution designs in various detail levels, cost-calculations as well as technical contents of presentations offers oriented to T-Systems Portfolio
• Support of sales partner by discussions with the customer and advise the customer with regard to relevant solutions
• Integration of potential, innovative ideas as well as market and technology trends for the service provision of several years in the Solution Design and in Business Cases
• Support of required Due Diligence to hedge the Solution Design, including minimizing of risk positions and development of realization and migration strategies
• Support of Design of commercial and quality assured realization, migration, or Transformation phase for the solution, examination and use of the newest technologies for the future solution designs
• Requirements definition for the suppliers, advice of Global Procurement for evaluation of innovation ability of suppliers
• Definition of requirements in cross-section of functions of concerned units
• Assurance of all the necessary approvals and Sing-off` s for the solutions and the T&T Phase within the required release-meetings and Boards
• Staffing (e.g. ZDF tickets) and steering of Solution Design sub project
• Accountable for the overall (cross Delivery Unit) technical solution and the delivery model
• Accountable for steering and integration of Processes & Tools requirements coming from Global Quality (Operations Support Tools) and Telekom IT (Business Support Tools)
• Accountable for customer focused and detailed service descriptions (e.g. services, SLAs, reporting …)
• Accountable for the Transition and Transformation planning and the solution transformation approach
• Responsible in contract negotiations for service delivery related parts
• Design of overall technical solutions (Big Picture) based on defined customer requests and T-Systems’ One Portfolio
• Single point of contact for Bid Manager and customer regarding Solution Design
• Support for Bid Manager within various deal boards (e.g. SOC, MDSC, BDSC), Accountable MC Delivery Board presentation
• Responsible for peer review
• Customer presentation of technical solutions and participation at contract negotiation within deals
• Accountable for Delivery Unit commitment regarding technical solution on Delivery Unit level and Quality Assurance approval of the Delivery Unit
• Supports handover to T&T Project Manager and takes over Lead Solution Architect role on T&T Project Management level for Multi Delivery Unit T&T Projects
• Accountable for documentation of all assumptions and general conditions regarding overall technical solution
• Accountable for documentation, evaluation and mitigation of all technical risks according to RAID methodology
• Accountable for documentation of all necessary customer obligations regarding solution for both build and run phase
• Accountable for description of interface between both Delivery Unit and third parties
• Support procurement and Back to Back process regarding technical solution
• Accountable for parts of the solution design to be delivered by Third Parties/Partners
• Regularly review the contract draft and document the status in the UDC (Unified Deal Checklist)
• Accountable and Responsible for adherance to Solution Design Standards (e.g. RESOLVE) and Solution Design status reporting
• Overall responsibility for the cost case and its calculation
• Steering of Solution Design share of the bid budget
