Job description, responsibilities and duties

General description
We are looking for a new team player to join our company, working on a variety of network technologies to provide operational support for network infrastructure within T-Systems Data Centres. Maintain continuous service to customers by implementing requested changes and solving service failures and Incidents followed by a root cause analysis.

•Perform, coordinate and improve the most complex activities (3rd level environment) needed to provide IT services and the supporting infrastructure in order to fulfill KPI’s.
•Plan, implement and maintain a stable technical infrastructure to support organization’s business processes.
•Identify weaknesses in used processes and eliminate them following industry and internal standards.
•Propose and perform regular inspections and improvement recommendations.
•Diagnose and resolve complex tickets or escalate complex tickets with direct/potential impact related to IT infrastructure.
•Restore normal service operation in case of incident to fulfill SLA/OLA.
• Investigate the root cause of complex incidents and then initiate actions to improve or correct the situation.
•Evaluate, authorize, prioritize, plan, test, implement, document and review complex changes in controlled manner or escalate to higher authority.
•Assess actual performance of IT infrastructure against its predicted performance. Any deviations between the two should be understood and proactively remediated, with vendors if necessary.
•Create and maintain technical documentation to support IT service.
•Identify weaknesses in used processes and eliminate them following industry and internal standards.
•Plan, implement and maintain a stable technical infrastructure to support organization’s business.
•Serve as technical lead to provide clear and comprehensive release and deployment plans.
•Deliver effective training plans and concepts to train other employees and ensure their fulfilment.
• Prepare, steer and contribute on the evaluation of the technical assessment of junior employees.
• Proactively communicate with the internal/external customer in order to identify any potential for the optimization of the service.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

•3+ years networking experience,
•3-5 years' experience with business segment specific policy, benefits, plan design and language,
•Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices,
•Knowledge on CCDP and CCNP level. CCIE level advantage,
•Experience with CISCO, Juniper, F5, Fortinet, Extreme networks and Arris devices ,
•Knowledge of :
Experience of LAN, WAN design,
TCP/IP stack in general,
VLANs, STP, HSRP, VRRP,GLBP other LAN based network protocol ,
FabricPath, Trill, VXlan and other datacenter based protocol,
Dynamic routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS,
Overview of MPLS, VPLS, NAT,
• Advanced network architectures and designs ,
•Overview of NEXT-gen technologies SDWAN, ACI, SDN,

•German: advantage,
•Team player, independent, responsible, with attention to detail,
•Dedication to learning and self-improvement,
•Communication/Negotiation/Presentation/Mentoring skills,
•Complex ITIL knowledge corresponding to ITIL certification,
•Basic project management knowledge /Basic financial literacy,
