Job description, responsibilities and duties

General Description
- The holder of the job takes care of and acts as main point of contact for highly complex day to day steering of a group of Software Architects, Software Developers and Application - Management Support Roles which design, develop, implement and coordinate various Automation and Innovation services for TSI, PoP and TSSK organizations.
- The holder leads and coordinates up to 25 employees to meet corporate goals for productivity, quality and financial efficiency.
- The holder focuses on accomplishment of assigned team objectives by effective resource management, planning and evaluating activities in the assigned area of operational responsibility.

Processes and service delivery
- Maintain relationships with counterparts and other stakeholders by effective communication.
- Operationally manage critical situations and solve common escalations to provide seamless operation and effective service to clients.
- Collect and provide feedback on contract terms and conditions compliance.
- Coordinate and control in leading of technical solution proposals, projects preparation, business case calculations in the area of software development
- Ensure proper and effective SW development lifecycle based on agile approach, including leading role in critical operational situations.
Quality assurance
- Deliver services/solutions to clients within quality frameworks e.g. (OLA, SLA, KPIs, etc.),
- Continuously improve processes and products/services in assigned area, plan improvements and implement improvements programs.
- Coordinate and control development, operations, processes, hand-over and delivery of services according to standard/processes.
Budgets and finances
- Provide inputs to financial and other business plans and effectively coordinate assigned resources to meet financial targets.
- Control finance and efficiency management initiatives across the assigned organizational units and sub-units.
- Control Software Development for TS Slovakia, incl. budget planning and control, resource management, internal project coordination, invoice management, etc.
- Motivate and develop people in own team to be able to deliver better quality and maintain satisfaction of employees/contractors.
- Ensure all people-related regulatory topics (Labour code, internal rules & guidelines) are met in the assigned team.
- Actively steer capacity of team resources and quality of employee performance results in coherence with customer contracts.

Management scope
- Innovation: challenge the team to come with new ideas to support TSSK competitive advantage in the internal and external market
- People: lead heterogeneous organizational unit with up to 25 members (Software Architects, Senior Software Developers, Software Developers, Junior Software Developers and Application Management Support Roles)
- Development: coordinate software development lifecycle management using best of breed Software development methodologies and processes (e.g. agile)
- Operation: lead and coordinate application support and operation for end users

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and German - Intermediate (B1)

Personality requirements and skills

- University degree or secondary/high school graduation (with relevant work experience)
- Min. 3 year experience in leading teams (with 12+ employees) and/or projects
- Min. 10 year experience working in IT business
- English (mandatory): written and oral B2+
- German (recommended): written and oral B1+
- Work organization and managing skills, esp. crisis management skills (problem solving, work under pressure)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, esp. fostering teamwork, coaching and supervision
- Strong customer and results orientation
- Good leadership and/or project management skills
- Advanced time management
