Job description, responsibilities and duties
Are you passionate about driving technology innovation in the heart of manufacturing operations? We are seeking an Operation Technology Specialist to lead the MES implementation at our Michalovce plant, a leading cheese producing company in Slovakia. This is a remarkable opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation and shape the future of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the Michalovce plant, ensuring seamless integration and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define MES requirements, evaluate technology solutions, and oversee the deployment of hardware and software systems.
- Develop and maintain a robust IT infrastructure to support MES implementation and integration with existing production equipment.
- Provide training and support to plant personnel, enabling a smooth transition to MES and ensuring operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant operations and productivity through MES capabilities.

Your qualifications

What we need from you
- Engineering level education or equivalent in acquired skills, with at least 3 years of experience in the field of engineering/automation.
- 3 years of successful experience in managing industrial projects and automation packages.
- Primary focus of expertise in EDGE layer management (edge computing, datamodeling, mapping)
- Expertise in designing automation and robotic systems (PLC, speed drivers, sensors, robots...), industrial information systems (SCADA, MES etc.) on top - welcomed
- High level of autonomy and initiative-taking. Can-do attitude with proactive approach toward challenges.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, empathetic, and solution-focused manner
- Collaborative teamwork with multiple function areas.
- Technical English proficiency.
