Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Engineering and developing solutions for operations optimization (e.g. technical automation processes)
• Monitoring, Configuration and maintenance of Windows server systems (Windows Server 2003 bis 2019)
• Implementation and operation of Windows Server in private and public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Maintaining and developing of SCCM environment
• Monitoring, Configuration and maintenance of server hardware HP, Dell and Cisco UCS
• Performance analysis and following recommendations for operating system optimization
• Capacity management
• Release management
• Patch management
• Troubleshooting and error diagnosis on different server systems
• Independent proactive acting to avoid potential risks
• Ensuring the continuous operation of our mission-critical 24x7 productive systems
• Project work and leading of small projects - documentation – on call duty'

Personality requirements and skills

• Excellent knowledge and perennial experience with 24x7 productive systems in Windows server environment
• Excellent knowledge with implementing and operating of Windows server in public cloud environments (Azure, AWS,...)
• Excellent knowledge in developing and operating a SCCM infrastructure
• Excellent knowledge and perennial experience with 24x7 productive systems in server hardware environment
• 5+ years of experience in Windows server operating system administration
• 5+ years of experience in Windows AD, DNS, DHCP administration
• Scripting skills with PowerShell, Ansible
• Knowledge in system monitoring (Nagios / Icinga)
• Ability to make decisions in critical situations
• Network Know-How (design, topics as e.g. VLAN, Routing)
• Project experience (documentation, implementation, planning)
• Experience in planning and solution developing (Sizing, workflows)
• ITIL certificate / experience - willingness to weekend and night work and on call duty
