Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Financial Planning and Analysis team are responsible for producing management information to support organisational forecasting and capital reporting. The team are accountable for the development of the long-term financial plans with annual operating and capital budgets, using financial modelling to forecast operating and profitability performance to set annual targets.

Your responsibilities:

Reporting to the Finance Planning & Reporting Team Lead the successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Review and recommend regarding the suitability of counterparties for reinsurance security, coverholder and delegated authority arrangements.
  • Engage and build relationships with senior stakeholders across the Group.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Finance Analyst, preferably within the insurance industry.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and Audit reports.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and benchmarking.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced in Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
