Senior Finance Reporting Analyst

We are looking for a new team member to join our newly created Centre of Excellence (CoE) Office as a Senior Accountant. The role will work closely with the Client’s Finance, Operations and Underwriting Controls teams.


Your Tasks:
• Involvement in the roll out of finance systems and processes
• Contribute towards providing timely and accurate financial accounting, controlling and reporting deliverables
• Supporting the analysis and monitoring of financial performance; ensuring compliance with relevant risk, control and audit frameworks
• Support the business with requests for additional financial / commercial information
• Identify and evaluate process improvement possibilities, drive continuous improvement and be part of a process excellence culture
• Ensure accurate accounting bookings
• Actively participate in Finance related projects and ad hoc tasks as required



Experience required:
• 4+ years of work experience in the Financial Services Industry (Insurance or reinsurance experience is a must)
• University degree in Economics, Science, Accounting or Business Administration
• Qualification in Accounting (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA or similar) or qualified by experience
• Microsoft Excel – Advanced
• Experience with ERP such as SAP or Oracle
• Experience in USGAAP or IFRS
• Power BI is an advantage

Nice to have:
• Experience with a project management methodology and/or project management certification is an advantage
• Experience / knowledge of IFRS 17 or SII is an advantage
• Experience / knowledge of Data IKU is an advantage
