Are you motivated to build and deliver innovative solutions for our fast-growing client, a new insurance company based in UK?
We are a Swiss management consulting company with a global footprint and trusted partner to financial services providers, solving their biggest challenges and helping businesses evolve to capture the potential of the new economy.
Currently, we are looking for someone to build and maintain end-to-end infrastructure supporting the internal capital model. This will require a range of bespoke user-friendly front-end interfaces which collate and transform data from multiple underlying systems and feed them into data manipulation processes owned by the risk optimization team. The infrastructure will automate and enhance existing processes, facilitate good governance throughout the modelling workflow and provide easy insight and oversight into the model’s inputs and outputs for end-users.
Your Tasks:
• Building end-to-end technological solutions allowing a range of different stakeholders to access the functionality provided by the internal capital model
• Integrate the solution with different departments’ existing business applications and the data universe to source, validate and standardise the input data required
• Build bespoke processes for users to review and process the input data
• Develop processes allowing users to run specific models using selected input datasets using an API
• Develop User interfaces allowing users across the organisation to interact with stochastic models
• Keep up to date on the latest technological developments and advise the wider team and organisation on these developments as necessary
Experience Required:
• More than 3 years working in programming, data engineering, data transformations, and data warehousing
Your skills:
• Strong programming skills using Python, R and SQL and knowledge of relational databases
• Excellent ability to integrate a range of different systems together, using APIs and/or other mechanisms
• Knowledge of data transformation pipelines and tools
• The ability to design, build and deploy data pipelines
• The ability to design, build, and deploy interactive user interfaces for interrogating data
• Experience in a fast-moving environment, working within context and constraints of a wider organisational development framework
• Good communication skills, in particular, be able to understand and communicate complex technical issues clearly to a non-technical audience
• Extensive experience combining different systems or micro-services into a coherent user experience
• Experience developing end-to-end solutions that meet the needs of multiple different stakeholders
• Experience building processes to enhance governance and sign-off procedures
• Ability and willingness to learn and grow
Nice to have:
• Innovative with an ability to adapt quickly to new technologies; Snowflake, R, RShiny, Streamlit, Dash, React
• The ability to design, build, and deploy interactive user interfaces for interrogating data
• Some knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services
• Ability to work as part of a non-hierarchical, dynamic team
• Experience in the commercial insurance industry would be beneficial
