The Delivery Manager facilitates the timely production of software and other computer products through the effective management of team members and work schedules. They clear any impediments that may slow down their team’s progress on a project and set the timelines on which products will be delivered.
The Delivery Manager is responsible for ensuring project success, managing, and optimizing the product backlog to maximize product value. The Delivery Manager is the primary point of contact on behalf of the customer who identifies product requirements for the development team and must ensure that the assignment meets the customer's requirements.
The Delivery Manager must collaborate and work closely with various stakeholders such as business leaders, development teams, project managers etc.As team leaders, use strong communication skills to motivate and encourage workers. The Delivery manager performs daily and monthly regular duties and event-based duties as release and sprint duties.
The Delivery Manager is responsible mainly for the following:
• Creation of feature
• Prioritize feature in Product Backlog (MVP)
• Estimation of Resources
• Plannig sprints WBS (work-break down structure)
• Managing stakeholders and development teams
• Evaluating and mitigating risks
• Participates in Change Management
