Are you a highly organized individual with excellent attention to detail?  We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist, based in Slovakia (Nitra) or Hungary (Gyal), with exceptional procurement skills.

 
About the Role
How you will contribute
  • Support the purchase of indirect materials and services, capital equipment, packaging, MRO, and other categories of items as assigned, ensuring lowest total cost is achieved.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of categories assigned, functions as an expert for internal customers.
  • Support and enable local and regional strategies for specific categories where applicable, participate and lead cross functional teams as appropriate to bring continuous improvements projects.
  • Support annual cost reduction strategies, including but not limited to:  negotiate pricing ensuring the lowest price up-front, source new business per the regional category strategy, identify potential category and/or supplier opportunity areas (e.g. standardization, supplier consolidation, etc.), communicate potential opportunities internally and initiate activities to assemble appropriate resources to pursue opportunity areas.
  • Train and continue to support Plant Lead Requisitioners on all purchasing processes and procedures.
  • Train and support Plant Lead Requisitioners on SAP with regards to all required transactions and reporting duties.
  • Perform purchasing audits at plants to ensure Plant Lead Requisitioners are following all processes and procedures.
  • Support Special Assignments requested by Operations.
Your Key Qualifications & Capabilities
  • Preferably degree qualified with min 3 years’ experience in Procurement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills including good listening skills, follow-through and organizational skills. Fluency in Slovak language and English is required.
  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment. Managing multiple deadlines and meeting operational needs, through effective time-management and prioritization.
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams that include internal and external customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to develop relationships quickly and make sound sourcing decisions.
  • Knowledge of program and project management and experience in automotive or technology industries is desirable.
  • Experience/exposure to SAP is required.

Additional Information
  • Some travel would be required:
    • Travel to new business launch sites when required to support purchasing processes/functions until permanent position is filled, trained and functioning.
    • Travel to sites with concern status with regards to a purchasing related issue/opportunity and/or the purchasing processes and resolve/stabilize.
