Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Develops Control Plans/PFMEA’s and identifies SPC requirements
- Organize and participate in first and second party audits and participate in third party audits
- Develops shop floor quality standards including inspection and test instructions/boundary samples
- Coordinates New part/ engineering changes
- Directs that all Engineering documentation including customer documentation (e.g. PAD), Control Plans, PFMEA’s are used to update internal documentation
- In conjunction with relevant personnel, ensures all necessary quality-related documentation is written, updated, posted, followed and results retained for all processes
- Visits assembly plant assisting/resolving quality issues, as required
- Participate in corrective action reviews for product, process and system
- Ensures compliance in conjunction with ISO 9001

Personality requirements and skills
- Degree in an appropriate engineering or technical field preferred
- Must have ability to read and interpret automotive engineering drawings and math data including geometric dimensioning and tolerance
- Must have working knowledge of statistical techniques including some familiarity with experimental design, SPC and charting, measurement systems analysis, etc.
- Must have working knowledge of quality systems and procedures
- Must have 3-5 years experience in quality, manufacturing or a related field, preferably in the automotive industry
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have excellent problem solving skills
- Must have sound knowledge of ISO/TS standards, Lead Auditor Certification desired
