Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

On this role you will support us:

- ensuring that we receive the highest level of service quality and efficiency from Service Providers (SPs)
- ensuring that the outsourced services are coordinated across service types, SPs, and Swiss Re business areas
- engage closely with service management process owners and managers, to ensure compliance with service strategy, policies and standards.
- work with our IT teams to resolve and supervise performance issues and ensures that they are minimized.

Contract Management & Governance

- Negotiations of contract relevant topics with Vendor
- Obligation management to ensure service providers life up to agreed work as set forth in contracts
- Run contractual changes end-2-end
- Define significant metrics, SLA, reporting cycle, governance changes, etc.
- Check renewals & terminations in due time
- Coordinates the governance oversight and committees, resolve issues
- Knowledge of Contract and corresponding operational documents
- Accompany Cyber Risk Assessments, Audits, and our other annual/bi-annual assessment activities within Swiss Re

Technical Service Management

- Proactive service performance evaluation and improvement plans
- Identify & explore the most efficient operating & sourcing model
- Be responsible for content in operations guides & contract
- Establish relationship management with service provider staff
- Maintain provider partner list, workshops and improvement initiatives
- Establishment and maintenance of services standards
- Accountable for governance policies, processes, documentation, committees, and general oversight of service processes
- Run SLAs and produce trend analysis across all Service Providers
- Assess operational risks
- Check Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery compliance

Financial Service Provider Management

- Analyse and sign off provided billing reports
- Closely supervise financial situation & expenses for services (MRCs, OTCs) incl. penalty payment identification & dispute regulation
- Actively seek new ways of service provisioning to decrease costs and gain insight into the current state of the art
- Run efficiency increase & cost decrease initiatives
- Assure cost relevant metrics and other invoicing / cost controlling activities are closely supervised

Service Strategy, Design & Service Portfolio

- Make sure fact sheets remain aligned with the latest agreements
- Ensure smooth and complete Service Introductions
- Keep up to date with technology changes by actively research market

Customer Experience & Partner Management

- Identify our customers, partners & user groups to meet on periodic basis for service reviews
- Lead our Customer Experience and drive their Happiness
- Understand business market strategy and business requirements
- Customize communication channels and establish efficient information flow
- Identify the main focus areas / service improvement areas based on feedback and service stats
- Act as ambassador in case of partner concerns

Project Management

- Bring in projects and requests via the Pipeline Management Process
- Act as a resource where required

About the Team

The Connectivity Services (CS) team is responsible for the infrastructure WAN, LAN, Security Services, DC LAN, Wi-Fi, etc... for the SwissRE Global Network, Production Facilities for DCs and ICT Rooms, Service Transition & Decommissioning.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Degree (ETH / Uni / FH) in computer science or a similar subject
- Significant years of experience in the area of ​​IT operations and ICT infrastructures
- Relevant know-how in professional and lateral management
- Knowledge in IT architecture, IT security as well as very good technical skills
- Relationship focused – ability to forge excellent relationships with and SP team members at all levels!
- Vast Knowledge in agile project management as well as in the management of ICT operational and infrastructure services
- Analytical, root-cause and solution focused
- Strong English and German written and oral communications skills
- Strong social skills!
