Job description, responsibilities and duties

Responsible for the overall data quality and integrity of the Finance Operation´s The primary focus of this role is to lead the iptiQ data management function in receiving & validating iptiQ's data and delivering out to the iptiQ business to support business steering and decision making.

Main tasks
1. Lead a team of data management specialists to ensure high quality best in class data management and analytics across iptiQ in Europe
2. Manage incoming data files from iptiQ third party administrators & service suppliers
3. Load data into data storage systems and review for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results including relevant cleansing of data
4. Make data available to business users and advise on usage to ensure appropriate conclusions drawn
5. Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast & efficient access to metrics
6. Provide iptiQ business users with access to essential data sets and advise on appropriate data usage
7. Maintain data management policies & procedures and conduct routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity and efficiency of processing
8. Communicate with iptiQ business about data changes or new requirements
9. Make recommendations for software, hardware and data storage upgrades to improve efficiency and quality of data management procedures
10. Support infrastructure change projects & deal onboardings with requirements, documentation and testing
11. Communicate with business users and key stakeholders ensuring transparency on data management responsibilities
12. Manage own workload effectively to achieve agreed service/ business standards
13. To undertake effectively the necessary learning to develop current and new areas of competence
14. Some travel to Swiss Re locations may be required

iptiQ EMEA is part of Swiss Re's Life Capital division which manages all our life & health primary insurance portfolios across Europe. iptiQ is a start-up, established to deliver innovative protection solutions sold to consumers through Distribution Partners. Our team delivers the coordination, infrastructure and capabilities key to driving forward this new business, while working closely with the rest of the Swiss Re Group.

We are establishing an Operations Services team within Bratislava which will support the iptiQ Operations teams across Europe. iptiQ is a Luxembourg based insurer with Branches in UK, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, France. iptiQ's Operations Services team supports the delivery of iptiQ's growth for these locations and other countries across Europe, currently Spain & Poland. We are looking for a visionary and creative self-starter to be part of this team with specific responsibility to manage iptiQ's data to ensure accurate, timely and business relevant reporting for iptiQ business steering.

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

1. English is iptiQ's business language and therefore essential. Additional language skills in any one or more of the following languages would be preferable – German, Spanish, Dutch, French and Polish.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
3. 4+ years’ experience in data management or analysis
4. Ability to work with large data sets and extrapolate conclusions
5. Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
6. Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
7. An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
8. You are committed to quality, attention to detail and are solution oriented; persistent and thorough
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
10. Self-motivated, highly organized and efficient, setting adequate priorities for yourself and your team
11. You understand and live iptiQ culture and values – can do and proactive attitudes.
12. You are proficient in MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint and advanced Excel is important
