About the role

Are you interested in how technology supports financial reporting at one of the world's leading reinsurers?

Join our Subledger & Group Integration squad within the SAP General Ledger product area and help shape SAP solutions supporting critical financial closing processes across Swiss Re. Working with SAP S/4HANA, you will translate business needs into scalable solutions that help ensure financial data quality and accuracy.

As an IT Business Analyst, you will work at the intersection of Finance and Technology, collaborating with business experts, SAP consultants, developers, and engineers to improve systems supporting Swiss Re's financial reporting landscape.

This role gives you exposure to the Subledger & Group Integration domain, where financial data is integrated from multiple subledger systems into SAP General Ledger and further distributed to Group reporting systems, supporting reliable financial closing and reporting processes.

You will have the opportunity to grow into an end-to-end SAP Finance and business systems expert within a collaborative environment.

Your key responsibilities

Translate business needs into solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse and refine requirements for new functionalities and process improvements.
• Translate business requirements into functional designs, user stories, and system specifications for implementation and testing.
• Bridge Finance and IT by making complex business and technical topics clear and actionable.
Drive SAP General Ledger enhancements
• Support solution design and implementation within SAP General Ledger and related subledger and group integration areas.
• Perform SAP customizing and system parametrization activities.
• Work with application engineers and ABAP developers to ensure solutions are implemented as intended.
Ensure quality and operational excellence
• Support testing activities and deployment of new functionalities.
• Investigate production issues and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to stable and reliable critical financial closing processes, including quarter-end support activities.
Continuously improve our product
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, integrations, and system capabilities.
• Support the evolution of our SAP Finance landscape and adoption of modern SAP technologies.

The Subledger & Group Integration team is part of Swiss Re's broader SAP General Ledger product area, operating as an agile DevOps squad with end-to-end ownership across the product lifecycle - from idea and implementation to operations and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a curious and solution-oriented professional who enjoys turning complex business processes into effective technology solutions.

You bring:

• Experience in a IT Business Analyst, IT Specialist, Functional Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
• Relevant experience in product development, including translating requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• SQL or SAP HANA querying skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
• Experience with system integrations and interfaces.
• Excellent communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership from analysis through delivery.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.

Nice to have
• Experience with SAP General Ledger, or SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP system customization and configuration.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and tools such as Azure DevOps and Confluence.
• Background in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, or Reinsurance.
• Understanding of financial closing and reporting processes.
