About the Role
As an Operational Risk Policy Governance Analyst at Swiss Re, you will play a pivotal role in building and shaping a central second line of defence (2LoD) policy governance capability for selected operational risks, including emerging and evolving areas such as AI, Data Management, and Records Management. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design of clear, consistent, and effective policy frameworks that drive sustainable governance across the organisation. You will work closely with first-line teams and subject matter experts, bringing structure, rigour, and insight to the full policy lifecycle—from architecture and guardrails through to approvals, periodic review, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain policy architecture — design and evolve the structural framework for selected operational risk policies, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with Swiss Re's governance standards
• Define policy requirements and guardrails — draft clear, concise, and practical policy requirements that provide effective second line oversight and guidance to first line teams
• Coordinate approvals and periodic reviews — manage governance processes end-to-end, ensuring timely approvals, structured review cycles, and accurate documentation
• Support end-to-end policy lifecycle management and reporting — oversee the full lifecycle of policies from inception through to retirement, maintaining high-quality records and producing meaningful governance reporting
• Provide trusted second line oversight and constructive challenge — act as a credible and collaborative partner to first line teams and subject matter experts, offering sound judgement and independent perspective on governance matters
• Engage and manage stakeholders across functions and seniority levels — build and maintain strong professional networks, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to continuous improvement — proactively identify opportunities to enhance policy governance processes, frameworks, and tools in a dynamic and evolving risk environment
