Job description, responsibilities and duties

As a AI Engineering Lead, you own high‑impact data, AI and analytics solutions for the Property & Casualty (P&C) domain, working with modern big‑data technologies and Ai techniques to turn complex data that support business decisions. You’ll be also acting as a technical lead and mentor, shaping best practices and supporting other engineers’ growth as their line manager.

Here's a taste of what you could be doing:

-Lead and mentor a team of engineers, setting clear technical standards and fostering a culture of engineering excellence, learning, and ownership
-Act as a hands-on technical authority for AI systems, with the ability to review, challenge, and contribute to architecture, code, and implementation decisions
-Drive the design and implementation of scalable AI and ML platforms, including MLOps, data pipelines, and cloud-native infrastructure
-Ensure solutions are technically sound, deliver business value, and can be operated reliably at scale
-Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of the products, from experimentation and prototyping through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
-Guide teams in applying modern AI techniques, including Generative AI, while ensuring robustness, security, explainability, and compliance

Personality requirements and skills

In order to be successful in the role, you bring:
-A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
-Extensive experience designing, building, and operating production-grade systems
-Strong proficiency in Python (or similar languages) and a deep understanding of good software engineering principles
-Solid hands-on knowledge of MLOps practices, including CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, versioning, and lifecycle management
-Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and large-scale data processing
-Proven experience in technical leadership roles, including mentoring engineers and guiding complex technical decisions

It is a strong plus if you also have:
-Experience leading AI or data engineering teams in a large organization
-Experience with Generative AI, NLP, or other advanced AI techniques applied in real-world products
