About the role

Your main goal would be to design new and maintain existing business applications. This role will combine architecture and design work beside business software development. It also requires good interpersonal skills on skills as you will be the main contact person for your product development team to outside parties during all phases.

About the team

Our team develops, extends and maintains business applications and its interfaces. Both business user group and respective solutions range from very tailored and specialized to large applications for hundreds of users. The content covers the use case for data capture, integration, transformation to BPM solutions. We closely collaborate with other teams around the globe

Your responsibilities include:

• Design and develop code for shared/common components used by all our product development teams
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
• Communicate details about common components and foster an open/inner source based sharing culture
• Guide / support the development teams on involved technology stacks
• Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: perform detailed code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency coding standards, and maintainability
• Problem Solving: leverage experience and technical knowledge to resolve critical problems and optimize software performance

Personality requirements and skills

Following skills and experiences are desired:
• Develop software using Java and Spring Boot, NodeJS and any major UI framework such as Angular and DBMS e.g. PostgreSQL
• Experience in REST API design and implementation
• Experience with database design, normalization, and indexing strategies and proficiency in T-SQL
• Experience in modern software architecture using synchronous, asynchronous integration technologies using RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka, and other technologies
• Strong analytical skills, address problems in a structured way, joining your own creative ideas and those of others, strong leadership skills to lead a technical product development team
