About the Role

In this role you will provide a broad range of corporate services, administrative and legal support to the team Corporate Governance & Operations in respect of legal entities across the Group.

Your role will include:

• Organising board and committee meetings, including drafting documents, compiling and distributing meeting materials and executing follow-up actions.
• Performing corporate formalities including collection of internal approvals, preparation of statutory filings, etc.
• Administrating company records, databases and general records management.
• Handling corporate governance certification and board self-assessment processes.
• Handling requests for corporate documents from internal clients, auditors or regulators (e.g. KYC requests).
• Developing and maintaining templates and standard procedures for corporate secretariat services.
• Helping with legal monitoring changes in legislation and the regulatory environment.

About the Team

The Company Secretariat team is a multi-jurisdictional team composed of 5 Legal Counsels and Company Secretaries based in Bratislava, London, Cape Town and Zurich, providing corporate governance and corporate secretariat services to legal entities of the Business Unit Reinsurance and of Group Operations. It is part of the broader Corporate Governance & Operations team, and the P&C and L&H Reinsurance Legal team.

As a dedicated partner of board and committee members of in scope entities, the team is accountable for compliance of in-scope entities with corporate governance laws, regulations and internal requirements. While the primary focus will be legal entities in EMEA, support to other regions may be included.

About You

• Relevant qualification in law or corporate secretariat
• Prior work experience in a law firm or an international company (3 years + of previous experience preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German/French language is a plus)
• Profound proficiency in MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
• Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines
• Self-motivation, organisational skills and detail orientation
• Discreteness and ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to work independently
